I just found a few more pictures from our trip to Okinawa. These first two are called Turtleback Tombs. They house generations of Ryukyuan family members. They're everywhere, tucked in between buildings and on the sides of hills.

Oh, I want a snake in a jar! It could go on my mantle over my fireplace. Or maybe not. Why in the world would someone want a snake in a jar? What if the jar broke. Gross.
