Okinawa.

We caught a flight from Tokyo to Okinawa and landed in the late afternoon.  After exploring Kadena (and the largest BX in the Pacific (three stories!), we headed out the main gate to explore some of the local stores and restaurants.  We found an amazing soba house with the best noodles I've ever had.  Ben was in heaven.  He ate with a smile on his face.  I wish I'd have gotten a picture of it!

The next day, we found our way to Nakagusuku Castle to explore.  It was really rainy, but everything was so green and it smelled really good!

Not really sure what I'm doing here...

I snapped some quick shots on the cab ride back to the base.

We were there for about a day and a half before we decided to keep hopping.  We weren't able to rent a car (licencing issues) and cabs were pretty expensive.  Plus the weather was pretty crummy and a flight came up to Guam, so...

ps.  more pictures.

What an awesome trip you are having!!! I have friends that live in Tokyo and some that lived Okinawa, and they seem like amazing places. So sorry the weather was crummy in Okinawa for you. Have fun in Guam! By the way, I am totally jealous :).
