The drive north of Busan was beautiful!  It was rainy, pre-typhoon weather, but the mountains were still gorgeous!  We made several stops along the way...

Road Trip! - Busan

We recently took a much-needed vacation around South Korea.  We only had a few days, so we decided to roadtrip around the perimeter of the peninsula.

 

We spent a night in Busan, which is South Korea's second largest city (after Seoul, of course).  Busan, also called Pusan, is on the southeast of the peninsula and has some pretty beachfront areas.

Quigley Visit - DMZ

Quigley Visit - More

We did the Seoul City Bus Tour (which I totally recommend, by the way) to see the most of Seoul in a short time.  We stopped off at a couple palaces.

 

Later in the week, we spent an evening at the beach hanging out with the scouts.

Quigley Visit - Hwaseong Fortress

Ben's dad was able to come out for a visit in June.  He was here about a week, and I think we really wore him out made good use of the time!  One of the first things we did was visit the Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon.

 

The wall has all of these angled holes for battle.
